This past weekend, I decided to go on a much needed stay-cation, a mini vacation in the UAE to help me recover from my 1 month vacation in the US. Now the requirements of a stay-cation to me are the following:
– a good room, with a beautiful view.
– a SPA that would take me to Heaven and back.
– and lastly, AMAZING service!
The Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah easily met all those requirements, from the second my car pulled up to the hotel, I knew it was going to be a fabulous stay. The first thing I did after checking in (after I starred at the beautiful room I was given in awe) was draw a hot bubble bath for myself, at this point I was assured that this stay was going to go well. My room was so cozy (yet kept its elegance), and perfectly spaced out (the dressing room was to-die-for, and don’t get me started on the bathroom!).
That night, myself, along with other friends of mine that were also staying there gathered at the Al Marjan Tent for Iftar. There was such a wide variety of delicious food that made my day of fasting even more worth it! I ended the night by going for some drinks at the hotels beautifully decorated bar that has a view over looking the city and ocean, what a perfect ending to my day.
The next day I woke up just in time for my deep sea 60 minute massage, I can safely say I was in Heaven. Following my massage I went to their relaxation room and rested for a good 30 minutes with nothing but green trees surrounding, I was in complete serenity. Being in such a space really allows you to reflect on everything going on around you, it allows you to be at ease, and it allows you to be grateful.
