If you know me, you know that I have a soft spot for meat. In a city where there is such a wide selection of restaurants, that serve some of the finest meat and steaks in town, I was not expecting to be blown away once again by another restaurant. Yet blown away I was (insert funny pun).
They usually say that you’re never fully dressed without a hat, and though I find that to be the case most days of the week, I would like to bring to everyone’s attention the power of the brooch (hold for applause). Fun fact – brooches are perhaps the oldest type of jewelry. When man first took to wearing something more than a loin cloth, there emanated the necessity of holding the cloth together.
You know that feeling you get, when you just want to put on an outfit, and feel like Yeezus? That was exactly what I was feeling when I decided to channel my inner Kanye this past weekend. I couldn’t wait to wear this outfit, reason being, when in Las Vegas a few weeks ago I FINALLY found the checkered red zip-up shirt by Fear of God. This, along with every other piece from that collection is sold out in almost every store it was stocked in!
So I was asked to take on one of the BEST projects I will ever come upon in my career this past weekend. To drive the Lincoln Navigator from Dubai to Oman and stay at the fabulous Six Senses Zighy Bay resort, enjoy the incredible scenery and facilities, and drive back! How could i say no? I wouldn’t!
I have a confession to make, no matter the weather, I am always a sucker for layers! I was recently in the hot hot HOT Palm Springs Desert and did exactly that, I layered! Now you must think I’m crazy, I won’t argue with you there, but I am a firm believer that I will not sacrifice the outfit due to the weather, It’s my cardinal rule in life.
Dubai’s nightlife is nothing short of being fierce and for any location to stand out over a consecutive period of time, means that they “got it.” Combining the best in dining with a unique nightlife experience, Qbara has proven to be on Dubai’s bucket list, whether your a Dubaian or just a passing visitor. From an Arabic fusion inspired menu, cutting edge interiors to a buzzing social vibe, there is something for every lifestyle connoisseur to enjoy.
Who ever said that you can’t have a little fun with your some of you favourite shoes. I was recently in Dubai Mall and couldn’t help but take a sneak peak into one of my favourite shoe destinations, Giuseppe Zanotti. I couldn’t help myself, with over 50 pairs of sneakers, I just couldn’t resist these beauties, they belonged in my collection.
This past weekend, I decided to go on a much needed stay-cation, a mini vacation in the UAE to help me recover from my 1 month vacation in the US. Now the requirements of a stay-cation to me are the following:
– a good room, with a beautiful view.
– a SPA that would take me to Heaven and back.
– and lastly, AMAZING service!
So what Is the first thing one is to do when touching down in Istanbul? Well other than going to the hotel and having a hot shower, It’s to go and get yourself induced into a food coma at the one and only Nusret. Now any one that knows me will tell you that I’m a major foodie, I’m a firm believer in the good food means good life mantra. Going to Nusret in Dubai is an experience on it’s own, but visiting Nusret in Istanbul is on a whole other level.
This beauty recently came into my life, it is a customised diamond incrusted Royal Oak Offshore CHRONOGRAPH stunner from Audemars Piguet. Im not usually one for diamonds on watches, but this one just had to come home with me. This sophisticated chronograph with its incisive design features a wealth of opulent detailing and the rubber straps make it wearable both day and night, and the selfwinding chronograph with date display and small seconds at 12 o’clock just added to the attraction I had towards it. On the downside, I’m pretty much in debt!
