So if you know me, you will know that I always wear basic pieces and throw on a statement piece to complete the look. It makes getting an outfit together that much easier, and allows you to look like you didn’t try that hard to put the look together (even though you probably did). I came across this Diesel Black Gold bomber a few weeks ago and knew that this was going to be my statement piece for an outfit I had in mind. The details in the embroidery of the jacket are incredible and eye-catching, it has an edge, and that’s something I always look for in a piece like this. Something that people will stop and ask about, it makes you think.
New Knitw-era.
The art: YARN BOMBING (urban knitting art) – graffiti or street art that employs colourful knitting to cover trees or architectural details in the city.
The artist: ANTON ALVAREZ, a Swedish architect of Chilean origins who has turned Yarn Bombing into an art form, covering trees and everyday objects with strips of leather and other materials.
